The Research

Immunotherapy, where the body's own immune system fights cancer, is effective in only a minority of patients. Therefore, new targets are urgently needed to improve outcomes.

Our study explores a new immunotherapeutic strategy that targets regulatory T (Treg) cells, which are present in solid cancers and a poor prognostic indicator. We will target 'suicide switches' to kill Treg cells and boost anti-cancer responses.

This work could lead to new treatment options for patients with solid cancers.
